Meiko supports partners in Turkey
in their efforts to help earthquake victims.
After the earthquake in Turkey and Syria with more than 30,000 victims and tens of thousands of injured people, relief organisations from all over the world are doing their best. As a global company with customers in more than 90 countries and a subsidiary in Istanbul, the German machine builder Meiko is also reacting spontaneously with support measures for its customers in the affected turkish area. Dr.-Ing. Thomas Peukert, CEO of the hygiene technology and food waste treatment system specialist Meiko, promised free service, maintenance and spare parts to those hotel customers hosting earthquake victims: "As a machine builder, there is not much more we can do at the moment to help alleviate the need. However, we see it as a humanitarian imperative and an obligation towards our partners in the region to support them as best we can and to strengthen their capacities. In a disaster of this magnitude, everything counts, because everything has been destroyed and it is a matter of bare survival."
