Since it opened in 2012, the "Ammolite - The Lighthouse Restaurant" stands for exquisite cuisine that is appreciated far beyond the region. With their unique concept and high level, chef Peter Hagen-Wiest and his team were recently able to convince the demanding jury of "The Feinschmecker”: The well-known gourmet magazine named the 2-star restaurant, which is located in the lighthouse of the 4-star superior Hotel Bell Rock, Restaurant of the Year.
According to Feinschmecker, chef Peter Hagen-Wiest delights “with a tasty, wonderfully sensual modern high-level kitchen". The likeable Austrian conceives high-precision, contemporary classics in two menus: 'Black Forest Cuisine' with local ingredients and 'Around the World' with top international products. The connection between home and the wider world can hardly be better. The excellent, but not a bit stiff service under the direction of sommelier Marco Gerlach and the extensive wine selection (450 items) ensure an outstanding overall experience.
